Weapon of pornography, and masturbation

      There is one popular prison with millions of inmates, and more people still and yet to be convicted for the same crimes that have rendered great men and women of destinies useless by locking them up in their secrets never to rise again. It is the prison of pornography and masturbation and about 99 percent of teenagers, youths, and adults are addicted inmates in this prison. And they are allowed to go about with their lives in chains of secrecy in other not to escape their doom.

     It first begins with that burning and dark desire to know more and more about sex which in the quest to know leads to pornography. The more the desire, the more that nature of man called flesh increases the appetite to continuously seek more satisfaction till it becomes an addiction. Because pornography is a magnetic spirit that when imprisons a person. First of all magnetizes the spirit, soul, and body into doing its bidding and eventually lures it prisoner into a final stage of physical and spiritual torture called masturbation. 

       A young little boy in his elementary school was exposed to pornography. It happened that his uncle watched the video in their home DVD player, and forgot to take the disk with him. So, the little boy saw the disk with nude pictures drawn on it, and out of curiosity to see more he played it, and what he saw that day completely changed his life. He took the disk and plays it when no one is at home throughout his elementary and secondary school he started masturbating and in university, he did watch porn, masturbate and also have sex with his female friends. But now, he is struggling to stop but can not because the devil has eaten deep inside him.

     The flesh naturally has a strong and large appetite for immorality. That is why most of the people who watch pornography and masturbate hardly break loose from its yoke on their own when it is the flesh that traps them in it. The truth is that the flesh never gets satisfied, and if it is the one totally in control of the body, it makes the demand when hungry for it and gets it eventually. 

      A friend once told me she watch porn to control her sexual drive, and I wonder how that will be of help. Using the same flesh the devil feeds on to fight him or do you think she can subdue her flesh by feeding flesh? Rather it is an opportunity for the devil to gain more ground in the lives and destinies of many people the very first day they defiled their bodies. It gave him the full chance to do his evil agenda written in John 10:10a

     What is the cause of this addiction and how to stop it?

Cause of pornography and masturbation:

●  Living life outside the coverage of God’s presence 

     Have you ever wondered why God kept the true nature of flesh hidden from man in Eden? God created man from the dust and gave him all the access and assistance to survive in the garden, but warned him from eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil Genesis 2:17. Do you know why? Eating from that tree will raise the dust of man’s imperfection because it is only in God can man’s perfection be complete. But when man ate the fruit in Genesis 3, the dust which is his true nature raised above the nature of God in him which made him know he was naked. 

     In verse 14, God cursed the serpent(devil) and also gave him two everlasting punishments which are:

i. He shall move with his belly 

ii. He shall eat dust all the days of his life

    The first punishment was a great torture to the devil because man is bruising his head daily, but the second punishment became his strategy to avenge man. Since man is naturally made from the dust that makes man his food. 

   So, how does he feed on man? The flesh is from the dust and he feeds on man’s flesh when man craves for immorality - Which pornography and masturbation are part of his meal. 

     Do you now see why you cannot stop watching porn and masturbating? Because the devil is feeding on you when you engage in such an act He is the parasite eating up your destiny, sanity, and your identity(purity) in Christ. Please read, Romans 7:15-25

    Most people are secretly dying inside of them because the devil makes them feel ashamed of themselves, and that is why they fight and struggle but the urge keeps winning over them - but the day anyone openly exposes the urge, the devil will be covered in shame. That day the person will be free from anxiety, an unfocused mindset, and every nightfall problem because the devil has been exposed.

     It is only possible in God’s presence. He cannot help you when you are not in Him and do not be a hypocrite when you are in His presence because He sees in the open and in secret Matthew 6:4.

How to stop pornography and masturbation?

    The first step to be free is by:

● Being in Christ           

2Corinthians 5:17 

       There are people whose names are in the church registers book, they attend almost all the church activities but are not in Christ. There is a lot of difference between being a Christian and a church member because your level of commitment to God determines your growth in Him. In Christ, you are reborn into His nature to be just like Him and that is the only way you can’t fulfill the works of the flesh.

● Being in partnership with God’s word

Psalms 119:105

     There is no how you can completely be free from addiction without the word of God. In God’s word lies all that you need to overcome, survive, and become what He wants you to be. All you need to do is to partner with His word, exist through His word, and be protected, and also the truth only through His word.  His words are capable of breaking the chains of addiction.

● Flee when necessarily possible 

     The word of God strictly in 2 Timothy 2:22a commands us to flee from all youthful lust either from the internet or our surroundings. Also, in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, It says flee which means run away from anything at all that will lead you to defilement. You cannot withstand it no matter how strong you think you are, that’s why God said flee. Do not look at all at those polluted videos or touch yourself lustfully, but resist the spirit behind the strong urge and it will flee from you. James 4:7

    The conclusion of it all is Jesus and without Him, you will always remain a captive.
