Doubt is a sin Bible verse

Scriptures for evangelism and soul winning

Evangelism is the heart of the Great Commission, where believers are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring others to salvation. The Bible provides powerful scriptures that guide us in this mission, covering key areas such as the need for salvation, God’s love, faith, repentance, and the power of the Gospel.

1. The Great Commission – Our Mandate to Evangelize

Jesus commanded His followers to spread the Gospel to all nations. This command is foundational to evangelism.

● Matthew 28:19-20 – "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

● Mark 16:15 – "And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’"

These verses emphasize that evangelism is not optional; it is a divine responsibility.

2. The Need for Salvation

Every person is born into sin and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ. Without salvation, mankind is lost.

● Romans 3:23 – "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

● Romans 6:23 – "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

These scriptures highlight why everyone needs to hear the Gospel—because sin leads to death, but God offers eternal life through Christ.

3. God’s Love and Provision for Salvation

The foundation of the Gospel is God’s love for humanity, demonstrated through Jesus’ sacrifice.

● John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

● Romans 5:8 – "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

God’s love is the motivation behind evangelism, and His grace is available to all.

4. The Call to Repentance

Repentance is a crucial step in receiving salvation.

● Acts 3:19 – "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."

● Luke 13:3 – "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

These verses show that salvation is not just about believing in Jesus—it also requires turning away from sin.

5. The Role of Faith in Salvation

Faith is the key to receiving salvation.

● Romans 10:9-10 – "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

● Ephesians 2:8-9 – "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

These scriptures remind us that salvation is a free gift received by faith, not by human effort.

6. The Power of the Gospel

The Word of God is powerful and life-changing.

● Hebrews 4:12 – "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

● Isaiah 55:11 – "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

This assures believers that when we share God’s Word, it will have an impact.

7. The Call to Boldly Witness

God calls every believer to share the Gospel with confidence.

● Romans 1:16 – "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes."

● 2 Corinthians 5:20 – "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God."

We are Christ’s representatives on earth, and we must share His message with boldness.

Evangelism is the mission of every believer, and these scriptures provide a strong foundation for sharing the Gospel. As we step out in faith, we can be confident that God’s Word will bring transformation to those who hear it. Let us be bold, compassionate, and faithful in fulfilling the Great Commission.
