In the book of Genesis, God commands humanity to "be fruitful and multiply" (Genesis 1:28).
Bring fruitful is being able to reproduce and being able to increase in everything,
What I mean is the biblical mandate is not only a call to procreation but also a principle for living a productive and abundant life i.e. in childbirth, in life, in career, and in humanity relationships.
When we can be productive in every aspect of our lives, then we are said to be fulfilled in Christ.
The Meaning of "Be Fruitful and Multiply
To be fruitful means to produce or yield something valuable and beneficial. It also means a sense of growth, development, and increase.
Multiplying, on the other hand, means to increase or expand something exponentially.
Together, these two concepts convey the idea of exponential growth and abundance. (Exponential growth and development refer to a process where small, consistent efforts lead to significant, rapid, and sustained improvements over time).
Principles for Being Fruitful and Multiplying
So, how can we apply this principle in our lives? Here are some key principles to consider:
1. Identify Your Purpose: To be fruitful, you must know your passion and your goals. What you will do that will improve your life? What and what am I called to do in this world, yes these questions sometimes seem unanswerable but once you identify with your purpose, everything will be fine.
2. Invest in Personal Growth: Invest in your personal growth and development, care for yourself, eat healthy, rest, and don't overwork or overstress yourself. You alone know what's best for your body, spirit, and soul. If possible acquire new skills, knowledge, and experiences that will help you grow and expand and one most important thing, don't ever disqualify yourself.
3. Take Risks and Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: You are fruitful but to multiply, you must be willing to take risks and step out of your comfort zone and that's one issue people have, not being able to take risks, life is all about risk if you don't do it now, no one will help you with it, once you're able to overcome this challenges and know that no matter what comes my way, I can handle it then this is where growth and expansion happen.
4. Be Productive and Efficient: Be productive and efficient in your work and daily life, when you do certain things and maybe it doesn't favor you, try using other methods, Use your time and resources wisely to achieve your goals, your resources could people you know, your mobile phone, and things you've got
5. Give and Share with Others: Giving and sharing is also a principle all human who wants to multiply must follow, you have to give when you have, share ideas, and be willing to give and share with others without holding back. At this point, we may feel that we give but it never returns to us, don't give because you want it back, give because it's the best thing to do. This is where the principle of multiplication kicks in. When you give and share, you open yourself up to receiving and experiencing abundance.
Benefits of Being Fruitful and Multiplying
So, what are the benefits of applying this principle in our lives? Here are a few:
1. Increased Productivity: when you're fruitful, there's room for multiplication and I tell you, no one will smell your back
2. Abundance and Prosperity: This is where the principle of giving and sharing comes in
3. Personal Growth and Development: The process of being fruitful and multiplying will help you grow and develop as a person.
4. Impact and Influence: By being fruitful and multiplying, you will have a greater impact and influence on the world around you. They will not only recognize you by what you do or the money you earn but by what's within
In conclusion, the principle of "be fruitful and multiply" is a powerful principle for living a productive and abundant life. By identifying your purpose, investing in personal growth, taking risks, being productive and efficient, and giving and sharing with others, you can experience exponential growth and abundance in your life. Remember, this principle is not just about procreation, but about living a life of purpose, productivity, and abundance.
