Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness meaning

  God is different from every other god because what He stands for makes Him unique and beautiful. He is known for one thing and that alone is where His beauty lies and when that one thing is absent then it is not Him, and that thing is holiness for He exists and actively functions through holiness; any services that should be rendered to Him must be done in holiness because it is in His nature to be holy. 

  Knowing who God is, what kind of worship He accepts, and what state we should be in to offer such kind of worship to Him should be our major concern in this teaching. 

  There is definitely what makes something beautiful or ugly. In the case of God, holiness makes Him beautiful, and whatever worship or thanksgiving to be offered unto Him must go through holiness. Psalms 29:2;96:9  To worship God is to testify how beautifully holy He is and do things beyond human comprehension.

  There are so many activities going on in heaven, but the most important of them all is the assembly of the hosts of heaven praising and worshipping God in the beauty of holiness. Revelation 4:10-11;5:11-14. The angels, twenty-four elders, and the beast of heaven every minute and hour they are worshipping God because He is God all mighty in His way, and cannot be compared with anyone. The hosts of heaven continuously every minute worship Him because they have seen and known that God is God indeed full of glory and power. 

  God is known for what He can do or is capable of doing. He does not demand worship to be God, but what He is and does is the reason for the worship. So, knowing who He is and seeing what He has done and is still doing, which no other god can do, is enough reason to worship Him.  

Note: I do not know how to explain the magnitude and mightiness of the person of God for you to understand who He is, but His name alone is the revelation of Him.

  What about the earthy instrument of His worship? Is it possible that the instrument will be unholy while the worship is holy? The fact that God is holy means He does not receive worship from anyhow instrument. If the worship must come from a particular instrument, such an instrument must also be holy to give an acceptable worship unto Him.

  Man is God's most delighted instrument of worship, and He only accepts man's worship if the man worshipping Him is holy. 

  Since the hosts of heaven know Him to be God and worship Him, then how do His creatures know Him to worship Him? His creatures worship Him because they forget not His benefits. Genesis 4:1-4; Psalm 103:2

  For Cain and his brother Abel to acknowledge God by giving an offering of thanksgiving unto Him means that they forgot not His benefits even though Cain offered deceitfully. 

 Note: That you and I are a benefactor of His gift of breath is enough reason to worship Him.
