Have you been to a funeral before? And if you have, what mostly runs through your mind when you see that lifeless body in the casket? That person was once a lively human being until his/her death, because death is predestined for every living thing on earth, including human beings, but what matters most is where will the death be afterlife.
So, death only closes a person’s chapter here on earth to open another chapter, which is called eternity. The earth is where a person is allowed to make all the necessary preparation, discover his purpose in life and put to work his discovered purpose, by so doing he is paving the way for a comfortable place afterlife.
I’m not a judge over anyone, but it really marvels me sometimes how we wish a demise person who made no preparation for eternity a Rest In Peace. While on earth, he lived contrary to what he was destined for, he was not at peace with his creator even till his death, so what makes us think he will rest in eternity?
When someone dies, his spirit will be summoned in a spiritual court where he will be judged and the judgement is based on how he spent his life on earth, and through this judgement it will be decided by the judge where he is to spend his eternity. Hebrews 9:27
Sin made everyone guilty in court according to Romans 3:23-24 until Jesus took the weight of our guilt in Matthew 11:28 because a sinner is a living dead in Romans 6:23 and He showed us the way in John 14:6 for us to live a godly life that will earn us eternity in heaven with Him in John 14:2-3.
The judge can only dismiss our case here on earth if we believe and accept Christ selfless sacrifice(John 3:15-18) and earn to be with Him when we meet Him in Glory.
Are you born again?
