Joseph was 17years old when he became a student at the school of God’s will in Genesis 37:2a. In God’s school he learned to be truthful, well-mannered, and disciplined that he was not corrupt like his brothers but instead reported their corrupt activities to their father in Genesis 37:2b.
His seriousness and commitment to learning from God made him find love and a timeless reward from his father for his punctuality, truthfulness, and accuracy in his field of learning in Genesis 37:3.
In Genesis 37:4, he was hated by his brothers due to his outstanding performances and for the reward of his faithfulness.
In Genesis 37:5-10, God revealed to him the academic calendar made for him throughout his time of learning in His school, and when he told none-students of his school God’s will for his life they envied him and sought to destroy such magnificent will by all means in Genesis 37: 11-35.
God runs a universal school that no matter the environment or anywhere a student finds himself is never a stop to his academic pursuit, God proved that when Joseph was sold out to slavery in Egypt in Genesis 37:36.
God is the head teacher, but other teachers are working under God, one of the teachers played an important role when Joseph was to continue his education in the land of Egypt and that teacher was Grace in Genesis 39:1-6, teacher grace guided him, and made way for him, blessed him beyond his peers.
In Genesis 39:7-20, there was a curriculum of trials for Joseph which was on his academic calendar (the school allows trials and temptation to grade students). Due to his decision to obey the school rules and regulations he ran away from sin which many schools will encourage their students to use such moments to get what they want.
He passed the text, but instead of being praised and honored, he was sent to prison for doing the right thing teacher Grace handed over to Teacher Mercy to speak for him before the school authority and he was favored by the head-teacher in Genesis 39:21-23.
Teacher mercy made him teach and interpret life secrets to non-students even when he was still a student under spiritual learning in Genesis 40:1-22. His teachings, and interpretations worked but he was not remembered in Genesis 40:23 because mercy was not done with its work in his life, and his remembrance must be on his graduation day.
It took God years to train Joseph and when God was sure that He had produced a kingdom graduate, He made a way to announce the one He trained by Himself. God had to do something to trouble the king for His champion to come into power, and in Genesis 41:1-8, He visited Pharaoh with a dream about the future. Pharaoh did not dream of the future by merit or because he was pharaoh, the Bible made it clear to us in Psalm 25:14.
But He revealed His secret to the pharaoh because Joseph was to come into power. Even the pharaoh had no interpretation of God’s secret, not his magicians or wise men could tell him but only God-certified graduates could reveal and give the solution to such a secret at the same time. When the pharaoh and His wise men could not interpret his dream, God reminded those who forgot Joseph to remember him in Genesis 41:9-13
Note: That you are forgotten is because you have not come up to the level where God can share His secrets with you or use you to solve professional problems.
For Joseph, the certificate holder of God's school to sit with the king, the yoke of slavery was broken because he came up with an undefiled result in Genesis 41:14.
In Genesis 41:15-37, Joseph proved himself to be worthy of God’s honor when he defended the pride of his school and became a treasure, a leader in a foreign land in Genesis 41:38-46. Joseph was not just alone in the political seat of Egypt but was there with God. His act of obedience to God made God rule over an ungodly nation because he was a man in the office of God.
I want you to know that how far and how well you are to go in life is only in God's making, and without Him, you are as good as nothing.
