Every nation has national and state prisons or jails where lawbreakers are confined. Also, self have prison or jail where destiny-breakers are confined to suffer the consequences of their inhuman, rejection and abounding the very purpose of God for their lives. It is a crime to omit God’s plan and guide in life to push self-set goals, and the punishment for such crime is that self imprison the offenders the same way it lured them in going contrary to God’s plan.
Judges 13:3-5.
For God to oversee His agenda for Samson, He first appeared to Samson’s mother to make His plan known to her before Samson was convinced. He told the woman His plan for a child who will put an end to her barrenness and a guide on how to maintain and preserve the child’s destiny, and how He will through this child’s life liberate Israel.
Those instructions given to her by God were the law to govern Samson throughout fulfilling his destiny and anything contrary to it, becomes a crime punishable by the same law he was destined for.
There is no human being on earth without a certain law God mapped out to govern such a person during his lifetime on earth, and nobody is here on earth empty-handed but is highly destined to work out for the lasting survival of their generation through abiding in God lay-down rules to maintain and sustain their destiny.
Emmanuel had a dream, in his dream a man in a white garment gave him a small transparent ball. He noticed it was not just a ball but a light ball and the light from this ball was brighter and more effective than the sun. If he covers the light ball with his hands there will be thick darkness all over the world and when he opens his hands the light from the ball gives the world light.
Then, the man said to him, “One day the world will need this light to see again when there is no more sun, protect it with your life because if you lose it or give it away you will not have it again”. And right in front of him, the man disappeared. Another man in a black garment from nowhere came to him to take the light ball from him, he refused to the extent that he fought with the man till he woke up and it was all a dream.
At his age, God showed him the magnitude of what he is to live for with the instruction to safeguard what he was given because many adversaries were seeking to stop him, but even at their countless times to stop him, God still expected him not to stop fighting back nor to stop protecting the very life destined for him.
God knows there will be an adversary. He also knows how tough it will be leaving such heaven-costly treasure in his possession but He (God) chose to give it to him and even at that told him the danger of losing it because that is his destiny.
Satan is aware of what you are destined for, he knows how it works and how disastrous it will be for his kingdom if you are allowed to manifest the full plan of God for your life. That is why he purposely uses self as his weapon of war against you, and the day he succeeds in taking everything away from you he locks you up not to rise again. The day he won over you, you dreamt of it and you know life will never remain the same as a prisoner of Satan.
Today, gallant youths and teens are locked up by themselves the very day they violated God’s instruction to hold on to what He entrusted them with. The pursuit of earthly glory, name, power, and satisfaction has made the young ones lose their value, and the light that is shining; and brightness will positively affect their lives and generation. Many lights are no longer shining, darkness is almost taking over the lights because the lights are locked up in the dark, and become agents of darkness due to their quest for pleasure.
Nobody is born a prisoner neither is it hereditary to be a prisoner, but a freeborn with lay-down rules to obey, and violation of such rules makes the person a prisoner. Therefore, the attention most young people give to themselves makes them prisoners of self, once free-born of Christ but now prisoners of self because the self has nothing to contribute to their well-being other than to support and push them into crime.
Judges 16:19-21
Immediately Samson’s hair was shaved off, he became a defenseless prisoner. Once a conqueror but now a defeated and blind warrior because he violated the instruction of God upon his life when he gave him comfort in the hands of his enemy, and he got disarmed for telling his enemy where God’s treasure lies in him. Judges 16:17
Before a lawbreaker is locked up in prison after being confirmed guilty, whatever valuable thing he is holding or wearing before his arrest will be taken away from him. He will be given another uniform and shoes to wear in prison to signify that he is a prisoner.
Before self could put Samson in prison, it first enticed him with lust to defile him and apprehend the right, freedom, and power he had in God. And when he defiled himself, the clothes of God’s shield of glory and freedom upon him was removed, no more shield to cover the heavenly strength in him which made him tell Delilah where to find the mysterious strength and how to weaken the life destined for him by God. Judges 16:5-16
For the self to lay hold on the treasure life represents it, first of all, constrains the freedom surrounding the beauty of life, robs life of its destiny, and leaves it unguided to meet its doom. Freedom is not earned but should be worked for and should be lived for which is its maintenance, to some people, it is a human right and therefore not so important but life loses its worth, comfort, and mission without freedom.
Many young people allow themselves to invade God’s divine mandate for their lives. Physically they seem to be free but are prisoners of self because self locks them up in different prisons that cause their different ungodly lifestyles towards God’s agenda for their lives. In self-prison, self brainwash them to forfeit the ways of God, and teach them skills to enable them to do more crime to remain under its perpetual bondage.
It is only a prisoner who can live contrary to what he is destined for without considering the consequences of deviating from God's original plan for his life.
- A prisoner lives in self-permitted bondage and a dirty lifestyle and still thinks he has arrived.
- A prisoner is limited by time because he is locked up not to see or manifest at the brightness of the day.
- A prisoner is a living corpse, waiting to be executed in place of self for living a wasted life.
